Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2022 & my “Very Peri” jewelry!
Where are my purple lovers? It's our year to SHINE! Check out Pantone's colour of the year, and some beautiful colour palettes they've created to show you how you can incorporate "Very Peri" in your personal style in 2022! Of course, I'm here to help with the jewelry spice to make your wardrobe SING!
Colours that flirt with us and make us question their description, make me crazy in a good way! I'm really drawn to mixed colours and the ombre effect of blending with lightness variations. I especially love a gorgeous aqua tone that makes me think, "is it more blue or green?" This year's "Very Peri" Pantone colour of the year is no different. I see it as a shade of purple, but Pantone describes it as a "blue with a violet red undertone"... In a recent Instagram story, I polled my followers and most of them (95%) see it as purple over blue, as well.

I personally love that Pantone creates palettes (that I grouped with some of my handmade beaded crystal jewelry) to show us how we can incorporate this amazing colour into our clothing, accessories, home decor, etc. You don’t need to strike an exact “match” between your jewelry and your outfit, top, or dress… Really artistically made, aesthetic jewelry may have lots of different colours and shades in it to begin with. Really colourful jewelry POPS against the contrast of black or white or another light neutral. With a colourful wardrobe choice, I like the look of matching your jewelry to at least one of the dominant featured colours (closely, not exact). You can also pair a colourful top or dress with colourful jewelry that shares some of the same tones.
I hope the examples above give you ideas of how to style pieces of your current clothing with jewelry you may already have, or even better, give you a new reason to SHOP!
