Boost your holiday spirit and style with the perfect Christmas Jewelry!
Many of us start to think about and dream of the Christmas season as soon as we pack away our tank tops, flip flops and sandals! I personally look forward to the cozy sweater weather, the romantic appeal of snow covered trees, hot drinks and warm blankets of December, as early as August! And I have many friends with large storage boxes full of seasonal home decorations that they bust out as soon as Halloween is over! If you’re one of those special “can’t wait to celebrate” people, you probably have certain holiday themed clothing you bring out too, and I can help you accessorize those outfits to perfection with my beaded Christmas jewelry! Act quickly though, they are almost gone!
Remember when that “ugly Christmas sweater” craze first started? I thought it was hilarious and it even sparked an “ugly Hanukkah sweater” craze too! I once considered making ugly or crazy Christmas jewelry to go with that theme, but decided instead to take a more tasteful approach :)
I wanted to include some traditional Christmas colours in these beaded Christmas bracelets and necklaces but I played with hues and tones to hint at them, rather than hit them BOLD. So instead of red, I flirted with shades of rust, orange and cranberry. I colour extended from a metallic green and brushed teal to a lighter and darker version of denim blue which compliments the green. Most pieces have either some copper or bronze finish to contrast and compliment the colours, and each piece in this small collection, includes a copper or brass Christmas tree charm or pendant, as a focal piece.
I kept the beaded Christmas earrings more neutral than colourful, and pretty simple, so they go with more stuff. As an example, my jewelry would look great with these gorgeous “tasteful Christmas outfits” on Pinterest! (My blog links always open in separate windows, so don’t worry, you won’t lose this article!) My Christmas jewellery is fairly neutral so you can wear these necklaces, bracelets and earrings often throughout the whole season with many outfits. Christmas lovers commonly have a tree and decorations up for six weeks, so go ahead and let your Christmas jewelry boost your style vibes all season!
My goal was to have just enough colour and shine in the Christmas jewelry to be bright and merry, but be neutral and have some grounding colours to tie into your favourite holiday top, suit, sweater or dress. In my opinion, that’s actually one of the misconceptions about colourful jewelry… Some may think a colourful necklace should only be worn with black or white, because it’s so colourful already. But if you experiment, you’ll probably see that you actually have more options of connecting to different clothing if there are many colours to connect with. Again, selecting the perfect jewelry to match or compliment clothing comes down to personality, personal preference and choices!
